Jim’s ultimate career goal is to run, or play a leading role in, an agile low-overhead design firm.

Organizational goals are as follows:

1. Automate operating functions including administration, finances, legal representation, security, and marketing,

2. Integrate research and development into the firm culture on a formal weekly basis in order to keep up with the swift pace of accelerating technological change,

3. Prioritize urban infill and adaptive reuse projects to take advantage of high-demand high-profit inner city locations and avoid the inefficiencies of new-build isolated development,

4. Emphasize authenticity through the use of hand sketching and other informal analysis and design techniques in the Concept phase of projects,

5. Employ social media crowd-sourcing platforms to augment the community engagement process during Approvals, and

6. Work closely with contractors and utilize 6D BIM [including time, cost, and life-cycle elements] to its fullest potential in order to streamline the Design Development, Pricing, and Construction Documents phases and cut down on conflicts and missing information during Construction Administration.
